    Formula

    Enthalphy = U + PV

    Where,
    U is the internal energy (in joules),
    p is the pressure of the system, (in pascals), and
    V is the volume, (in cubic meters).

    Enthalphy is a measure of the total energy of a thermodynamic system. It includes the internal energy, which is the energy required to create a system, and the amount of energy required to make room for it by displacing its environment and establishing its volume and pressure. Enthalpy Calculator is used to calculate the heat transfer during a quasistatic process taking place in a closed thermodynamic system under constant pressure (isobaric process).

    An important example of an exothermic reaction is the combustion, where oxygen combines with fuel and gives off carbon dioxide, water, and heat. Along with entropy, enthalpy can be used to determine whether a reaction will proceed spontaneously at a given temperature.

    Example:
    Calculate the Enthalphy.
    Internal energy = 25
    pressure of system = 15
    volume = 30

    Solution:
    Apply Formula:
    Enthalphy = U + PV

    Enthalphy = 475
