Find the value of the wavelength if the sound wave travels with the frequency of 70 Hz.

**Solution**

**Step 1:** Write the value of the frequency.

f = 70, λ =?

**Step 2: **Put the values of the frequency in the wavelength formula.

λ = C/f

= 299,792,458 /70

**λ = 4282749.4 m**

**Example 2**

Find the value of the wavelength if the sound wave travels with a frequency of 90 kHz.

**Solution:**

**Step 1: **Write the value of the frequency and convert it into “Hz” form.

f = 90 KHz = 90 × 10^{3}Hz, λ =?

**Step 2: **Put the values of the frequency in the wavelength formula.

λ = C/f

= 299,792,458 /90 × 10^{3}

Taken the “10^{3}” at the numerator place.

= 299,792,458 × 10^{-3}/90

= 4282749.4 × 10^{-3 }m

Multiply the “10^{-3}” with the given number.
