Formula

Wind Chill (Fo) = 35.74 + 0.6215T-35.75(V0.16) + 0.4275T (V0.16)

Where,
Where T = Air Temperature (F)
V = Wind Speed (mph)

Wind chill (often popularly called the wind chill factor) is the felt air temperature on exposed skin due to wind. The wind chill temperature is always lower than the air temperature, and the wind chill is undefined at the higher temps (above 100C [500F]).

A still-air temperature that would have the same cooling effect on exposed human skin as a given combination of temperature and wind speed - called also chill factor, wind chill factor, wind chill index.

Wind Chill is defined for temperatures within the range -45oF to +45oF and wind speeds 3 to 60 mph. Wind Chill temperature only will not cause water to freeze. Water will only freeze when the waters temperature reaches the freezing point.

Example:
Calculate and convert the wind chill.
Temperature: 25 Celsius
Wind speed (KmPH): 56 Kilometers (KmPH)

Solution:
Wind Chill (Fo) = 35.74 + 0.6215T-35.75(V0.16) + 0.4275T (V0.16)
Fahrenheit: 79
Celsius: 26
